The benefit of basing ourselves in Murchison for these courses is that we have access to a variety of river, some of the country's best instructors and the use of the facilities at the NZ kayak school. This is our longest 101 course we run and as such we are able to go into more depth covering:


  • Technical Paddling and boat handling
  • Safety and Rescue skills
  • River running tactics and decision making
Accomodation is included as well as all gear if needed. Over the three days we'll cover everything you'll need to know to start your own packrafting adventures. That's not to say you'll be a fully polished packrafting ninja, but you will have a solid understanding of the skills you'll need to hone in your own paddling practice.
