The WSEL covers invaluable topics to help you plan and execute successful multiday river trips. The course is craft agnostic so not designed specifically for Packrafters, but definitely super useful for packrafters.
The course covers everything you need to know from a legal stand point, logistics and planning, managing risk as well as emergency preparedness and responses.
There is a a theoretical side to the course and an assessed practical covering dynamic risk assessments, conditional rescues (throw bagging) and moving water swimming techniques.
Contact time is 12 hours with your instructor. Minimum age of 18 and confident swimmer. Valid globally for 3 years.
