Landsborough Expedition

- Duration: 4 Days (approx.)
- Product code: Landsborough
This expedition his the result of years of planning, scouting and curating. We've finally landed on something that allows us to demonstrate all that is great and good about packrafting in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We start with a days training to get everyone up to speed in a front country setting. Whilst it's useful to start with a days training to test gear out before we commit to the expedition, this is certainly not the end of our learning. There are few better qualified or experienced guides in the world and so you'll be picking up hints and tips everyday you spend with them.
A stunning heli flight into the Landsborough sees us put down at the edge of the vast wilderness zone to start our expedition. We'll paddle down towards Creswick Flat for the night, picking through the rapids and working on our team work all the way down.
Our next full day on the water sees us undertaken the crux rapids of the mighty Landsborough. Whilst it's not a long paddle today, we allow plenty of time to scout, portage where necessary and set safety as we go. This is a truely rewarding section of paddling that should see us hit camp in the afternoon for a bit of celebration and to savour our time spent in this gorgeous place.
On the final day of the expedition, we pack up camp and start the paddle out towards civilisation. More rapids to play on and keep sharpening those skills before driving back towards Queenstown.
The Landsborough river has long been a revered river for New Zealand's paddlers, but for the right crew this should represent an unparalleled challenge of your skills coupled with some laughs around the camp fire, a restorative time spent in the wild and memories that will last a lifetime.
